Critical Care Nursing is designed to target entry level critical care nurses incorporating the principles of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, assessment and management. The course provides instruction on how to care for high acuity patients.
The focus is on caring for patients with cardiovascular, pulmonary, hemodynamic, neurologic, renal, gastrointestinal, endocrine, hematologic and multisystem disorders. Content includes the on-line Essentials of Critical Care Orientation modules from the American Association of Critical-Care Nursing. The Introduction to Emergency Nursing's 95 hour theory course provides the basic didactic content for those interested in entering the field of emergency nursing. This blended course is based on the core curriculum for ED nurses from the Emergency Nurses Association, and includes the ENAs on-line learning modules combined with studied cases, critical thinking exercises and a review of skills necessary for patient stabilization and management. Special modules include cardiac care, respiratory care, stroke car, triage, psychiatric emergencies and non-violent crisis intervention.

Hemodynamic Day is incorporated into the Critical Care Nursing course. Participants who wish to join the group should have previous clinical experience in at least Tele or Progressive Care areas. Concepts discussed are about blood motion and equilibrium.
The day’s activities include a three-hour lecture/presentation on cardiac and pulmonary anatomy & physiology as they relate to central lines. Then participants rotate to hands-on skills stations for arterial lines, pulmonary artery catheters, central venous lines and cardiac output. Nursing care, assessments, interventions and outcomes are correlated with what is observed on the monitors.
This is not a beginning nursing course. In order to optimize learning we ask participants to have reviewed tutorials or articles on Hemodynamic Monitoring. To receive the certificate, the participant must attend the full day’s activities.

This program prepares students to perform EKG's and includes information on anatomy and physiology of the heart, medical disease processes, medical terminology, medical ethics, legal aspects of patient contact, electrocardiography and stress testing. This comprehensive 50 hour EKG Technician Certification Program prepares students to function as EKG Technicians and to take the ASPT – Electrocardiograph (EKG) Technician exam and other National Certification Exams. Course Description
This 100 hour Veterinary Assistant program introduces students to the exciting and growing field of veterinary medicine. Students will learn about the care of animals as well as how to recognize signs of illness and disease. This program also covers interpersonal communication, interaction with clients and their animals, as well as how to assist the veterinarian during examinations. Course Description
This onsite class teaches how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), use of automated external defibrillators (AED) and how to relieve airway obstruction following American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines. Refund Policy
To cancel a class, please drop the class from your schedule two full business days prior to the scheduled class for a full refund. No refunds will occur after the class has started. No shows do not constitute a cancellation. Students who register and pay in full for an educational activity, but do not attend, forfeit the entire registration fee. Online classes are not refundable once the student’s registration has been processed and payment received.
